The role:
- Bookkeeping for a range of clients, including posting purchase and sales invoices and reconciling supplier and customer accounts.
- Reconcile bank accounts, checking transactions that feed in automatically.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns for manager review.
- Prepare working paper schedules for year-end accounts, with review notes then corrected before finalisation.
- Help prepare personal tax returns.
- Handle day-to-day client contact, chasing records and answering general bookkeeping queries.
- Pick up adhoc reconciliations and additional duties as required.
About you:
- 1 to 2 years in an accountancy practice.
- Study support on offer if required.
- Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar, and comfortable in Excel.
- IRIS experience a bonus but not essential.
- Proactive, organised and keen to progress.
