Not every great legal career has to stay fee-earning. If you’re an experienced Corporate lawyer who thrives on the finer details and enjoys developing their corporate knowledge, this Knowledge Lawyer role could be the perfect fit.

Working closely with senior lawyers and the wider department, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team’s technical excellence and overall effectiveness as their new Knowledge Lawyer, all while your team goes from strength to strength as the M&A transactions they deal with get larger and more complex.

As a Knowledge Lawyer or ‘Professional Support Lawyer’, you’ll focus on developing and maintaining precedents, practice notes, and internal guidance while keeping the team up-to-date with legal and market developments. You’ll be a go-to for technical queries, supporting lawyers with research and helping to shape consistent, high-quality legal output across the department.

You’ll also be involved in training and development, contributing to the growth of junior lawyers and supporting wider team initiatives, including client updates, seminars, and knowledge sharing.

To excel in this Corporate Knowledge Lawyer role, you should ideally:

  • Have at least 7 years of PQE as a Solicitor, Lawyer, or CILEx/Legal Executive
  • Demonstrate a track record of specialist legal expertise in Corporate and/or Banking & Finance work
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Be confident communicating legal concepts clearly and effectively
  • Enjoy working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Have an interest in knowledge development, training, and improving legal processes

Here’s what you can expect as a Corporate Knowledge Lawyer:

  • Escape Billing Stress: Say goodbye to billing targets and time-recording pressures
  • Meaningful Impact: Continue making a genuine difference in people’s lives through your expertise, without the stress of a client-facing caseload
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a better work-life balance with the flexibility to carve your own schedule. This role could be part-time or full-time, depending on your preference

If this sounds like the kind of role you’ve been considering and you have the relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you regardless of your current job title.
