Contract Management Accountant | Newhaven, East Sussex | 2-3 Months Our client, a growing and entrepreneurial business based in Newhaven, is looking for a Contract Management Accountant to join them on an initial 2-3 month assignment with possibility to extend. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Head of Finance, supporting the business during a new system implementation. You'll join a small, close-knit finance team who work highly collaboratively, and your input will genuinely shape how successfully things run during a period of change. The exact focus of the role can flex depending on your background, whether that's leaning more heavily into month end and reporting, or taking a more active role in the systems implementation itself. The role: Support the Head of Finance throughout the system implementation, with scope to get more involved in process mapping, testing and data migration if that's where your strengths lie Manage month-end management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, with the ability to take on more of this workload if your background is stronger on the reporting side Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to the wider business, with strong Excel skills used throughout Work closely with a small team, so a flexible, roll-up-your-sleeves approach is essential About you: Qualified or QBE Management Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Strong Excel skills essential Experience of system implementations or migrations is desirable, but not required if your core strength is month-end and reporting Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with less structure than a larger corporate Confident communicator, able to work autonomously Available at short notice for an immediate or near-immediate start
