Assistant Management Accountant

£30,000-£37,000 + study support + excellent wider benefits

My client, a highly successful, commercially focused business are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team.

This position would favour a Part-Qualified (or qualified-by-experience applicant) who has good varied finance experience, as well as management accounting knowledge, and they are now keen to step into a role whereby they can take ownership of some management reports.

The key duties will include…

• P&L Reconciliation
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Maintaining the fixed-asset register
• Assisting with the Budgeting and Forecasting process

As well as the more day-to-day duties, such as…

• Purchase Ledger
• Sales Ledger
• Bank Reconciliations

The ideal candidate for this role, will…

• Have at least 3-4 years' varied finance experience, including exposure to management accounts
• Possess strong Excel skills and be confident in the manipulation of data
• Have excellent attention to detail and be more than happy to deal with "the detail" of Purchase/Sales Ledger work
• Be ACCA, ACA, CIMA Part-Qualified- although those that are AAT qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered (provided they have lots of relevant experience)
• Be a confident communicator
