We are working with a Horsham based legal firm to hire a Private Client Tax Specialist to join their growing private client team. This is an exciting, newly created role that offers scope for professional development within a genuinely friendly and supportive environment.

You will join a leading Legal 500 firm, and will be working closely with the Tax Manager. You will support fee-earners and clients with the preparation of self-assessment tax returns and capital gains tax returns, submitting tax returns to the HRMC and liaising with our clients to gather the necessary information and provide updates. As your knowledge develops you will also get involved in a range of advisory and project based work, as well as associated administration.

There’s more to a job than just the job. This firm offer plenty of benefits: on top of the excellent basic salary there is a charity day off to support a good cause, celebrate your birthday every time with an extra day off, feel looked after with their 24-hour counselling service, and their private medical cover, plus off course generous pension cover and 25 days holiday.

For this private client tax specialist role role, you’ll ideally have:

  • Prior experience of preparing UK self assessment tax returns, perhaps as part of a general accounting role, or within a specialist tax environment
  • Studied towards ATT/CTA/ACCA
  • Have ideally worked in a professional services environment, used to liaising with clients, partners and fee-earners
  • Good attention to detail, organised and proactive
  • Live within a reasonable commute of Horsham

But we’re flexible! If you have an interest and experience in this area, but don’t match all the criteria, please get in touch. The role can be full time or part time and you can work partly from home. There is also the possibility of ATT/CTA study support once you have settled in.

Harvey John is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. The salary bracket advertised is FTE, for guidance only. We are committed to continued improvement in terms of diversity and inclusion practices. Please get in touch with any questions concerning reasonable adjustments, accommodations, or diversity practices.
