We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis, with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong credit control experience who can hit the ground running and provide essential support during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day‑to‑day accounting tasks, including posting invoices and reconciliations
  • Manage and monitor customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving any queries
  • Carry out effective credit control activities to maintain healthy cash flow
  • Support with month‑end processes and reporting
  • Liaise with internal teams and external customers to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial records

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role, ideally with a focus on credit control
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems advantageous)
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
