High-Growth Property Investment & Development Business
Central Brighton
Salary from Β£40,000 + Private Medical + Pension + Free Parking
We're recruiting for a high-growth property investment and development business with a substantial and expanding portfolio across the South of England. This is a hands-on role in a small, friendly finance team. You'll work alongside a Head of Finance and an Accounts Assistant, and you'll have the scope to shape how the finance function develops as the portfolio grows.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT or part qualified finance professional looking to get into a high growth, dynamic and evolving environment and establish themselves. Your role will develop as the company continues to expand and be widely acknowledged as part of a small team. This is exactly the right time to embed yourself in this ambitious organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Producing accurate monthly and year-end financial statements, including balance sheets and P&Ls
- Reconciling bank accounts, the general ledger, and purchase and sales ledgers, and resolving any discrepancies
- Managing credit control and keeping cash flow healthy
- Preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with current legislation
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting, analysing performance and helping management control costs
- Preparing the books for audit and acting as a point of contact for auditors
What you'll bring
- AAT qualified or part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero
- A sharp analytical eye, so you can spot errors, assess risk and make sense of complex data
- Meticulous attention to detail
- The confidence to work on your own initiative, along with the ability to pitch in as part of a close-knit team
- Property, construction or development experience would be a bonus but isn't essential
