Our client is a Construction Management company specialising in the retail sector. They have been appointed to set up and run a national roll‑out, with two principal contractor companies delivering the work across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Delivery Lead and act as client‑facing contact, attending regular client meetings.
- Set up the roll‑out and supply chain, issue Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and scopes, and review tenders, comparisons and recommendations.
- Award contracts for the main Sub‑Contract packages: Groundworks and Electrical.
- Recruit and manage three Quantity Surveyors responsible for overseeing 440 locations.
- Lead cost management, ensuring timely invoicing (50% upon invoice issuance and 50% on completion).
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in setting and managing roll‑outs or tendering for frameworks.
- Must possess a Black or White CSCS card.
Engagement Details
The engagement will span approximately 18 months, starting as soon as possible. While the role is predominantly remote, initial periods of time will be spent in Birmingham to understand systems, reporting processes, and to attend meetings. The employer will be responsible for paying the supply chain, and the candidate will ensure cost control throughout the project.
