Freelance Senior Site Manager / Construction Manager required for a 15 month £11m D & B project in West London to start end March 2026. Our client will be engaged as a Principal Contractor to deliver the internal and external refurbishment of a mixed-use building, Basement + Ground (Retail), 1st & 2nd floor (Commercial Offices) 3rd floor 8 X apartments.
Located in a busy part of Kensington, the project was originally started by another contractor who went into administration. Work will include:
- Refurbishment of the Zinc roof
- Coping stones to various levels
- Cleaning of masonry
- New windows
- Some groundworks and new shop fronts
- Refurbishment to basement and fit out to CAT A of retail units and offices
- 8 apartments fully fit out to a high standard
- All new services and lifts through the building
The project will fall under Considerate Constructors. Reporting into a Project Manager who will deal with programming and client.
They are looking to engage a Freelance Senior Site Manager who must have previous experience managing internal / external refurbishment projects within one of central London's boroughs, liaising with the councils on permits, understanding difficulties with logistics, able to communicate with neighbours whilst managing delivery, quality and programme. You will manage a further 1 - 2 Site managers and other ancillary staff.
