We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to work alongside the Nursery Manager in leading our 60‑place nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is committed to delivering outstanding care, supporting team development and helping children thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your role as a Nursery Deputy Manager:
As Nursery Deputy Manager you will lead, mentor, support and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education. You will play a vital role in supporting the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards across the setting and ensuring positive outcomes for children, families and staff.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support to room leaders and practitioners
- Deliver high‑quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework, ensuring its principles and standards are implemented throughout the setting
- Support staff supervisions, coaching and performance management
- Conduct regular supervisions, providing feedback and developmental support
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times, taking responsibility for implementing updates and changes where required
- Monitor and review nursery practice to maintain and improve high standards of care and education
- Support company projects, meetings and training initiatives when required
What you will need:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare or above Early Years qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience within a nursery setting
- Minimum 3 years’ childcare experience
- Experience within an Early Years leadership role (ideally as a Deputy Manager, Third in Charge or similar)
