Harvey Engineering Services provides comprehensive solutions within the mechanical handling industry, known for delivering high-quality services and expertise. Our workshop, based in Poynton, is equipped for hydraulic attachment and repair, as well as fabrication, turning, milling, drilling, and more. We handle projects from initial concept and design through to full fabrication. Additionally, we offer both workshop and on-site services to minimize downtime for our clients.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Hydraulic and Mechanical Engineer based in Poynton, with the flexibility to work on site when required. The role involves working on all equipment within the industry including rams, attachments and other hydraulic parts. The role involves repairs, reseals and optimizing hydraulic systems, conducting field assessments, and troubleshooting hydraulic components. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining technical documentation will also be key responsibilities. The ability to assist in the repair of other parts/systems within the mechanical handling industry.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Hydraulic Systems and Mechanical Engineering principles
- Full UK driving license
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and optimize engineering systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
- Experience with working on forklift attachments is key
