The predicted salary is between 46350 - 56650 Β£ per year.

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business based in Swadlincote.

This is a hands-on quality role focused on injection moulding, problem solving, process control and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues, support new product launches and drive improvements across the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality problem-solving activities and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Support new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Monitor and improve production quality and process performance.
  • Ensure adherence to control plans and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and internal quality KPIs.
  • Use structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D and Six Sigma.
  • Work closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers where required.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality documentation and processes.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have

  • An Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience within injection moulding and knowledge of associated defects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as IATF, TS and TISAX.
  • Experience with quality tools including FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC and LSA.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work at all levels.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Experience of leading, developing or motivating teams.
