Our client is a well established structural steel company based at Burton-on-Trent. They are currently recruiting for a Structural Design Engineer to join their busy team. In this role, you will carry out both tender or post tender design work and your general duties will entail:
- Scheduling allocated workloads;
- Carrying out design to the current and relevant codes of practice, standards, etc;
- Producing calculations for submission;
- Liaison with clients / internal staff;
- Assisting with training of draughtsmen and other departments;
- Attending launch and design meetings;
- Carry out tender designs;
- Ad hoc duties as required.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be experienced in Structural Steel Design and have excellent communication skills.
