Based on the outskirts of Burton-on-Trent, we are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our clients growing team in the construction sector, with a focus on environmentally driven projects. You will be responsible for sourcing materials and services to ensure projects keep moving sustainably, efficiently and on budget.
What you will be doing:
- Purchasing materials, tools, plant hire and subcontracted services for projects across the UK
- Working closely with site and project teams to ensure timely deliveries
- Building strong relationships with ethical and sustainable suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with environmental and H&S standards
What we are looking for:
- Procurement experience in construction
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
- Strong knowledge of sustainable materials and procurement practices
- Organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple priorities
