We’re looking for a hands-on Fitter to join our client, assembling bespoke timber garden buildings at customer locations. You’ll be responsible for constructing and fitting structures, carrying out carpentry work, installing roofs, and delivering a polished finish. Training will begin in the workshop before moving onto site-based projects.
Main Duties:
- Assemble and install timber garden buildings according to company specifications.
- Interpret construction plans to build frames, walls, doors, windows, and roofs.
- Undertake carpentry and joinery tasks, making adjustments on site as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, drills, nail guns).
- Fit roofing and ensure buildings are fully weatherproof.
- Safely handle and move heavy materials, maintaining health and safety standards.
- Apply finishes such as paint or sealants to complete the build.
- Interact professionally with customers, representing the company positively.
- Complete an Enhanced DBS check once fully working on sites (not required initially).
