We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Uttoxeter who are looking to appoint a Technical Estimator. This role would suit a graduate or junior mechanical engineer, or someone early in their career with a couple of years industry experience, looking to develop their technical, estimating and commercial skills.
The Role:
- Handling technical enquiries and reviewing customer specifications
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations
- Reviewing and updating bills of materials (BOMs)
- Producing CAD drawings for bespoke and standard products
- Supporting sales, engineering and production teams
Experience & Skills:
- Mechanical engineering qualification or relevant industry experience
- CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and product specifications
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- SAP / ERP experience beneficial but not essential
