We are looking for a hands-on Fitter to join our client, assembling bespoke timber garden buildings at customer locations. You will be responsible for constructing and fitting structures, carrying out carpentry work, installing roofs, and delivering a polished finish. Training will begin in the workshop before moving onto site-based projects.

Main Duties:

  • Assemble and install timber garden buildings according to company specifications.
  • Interpret construction plans to build frames, walls, doors, windows, and roofs.
  • Undertake carpentry and joinery tasks, making adjustments on site as needed.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, drills, nail guns).
  • Fit roofing and ensure buildings are fully weatherproof.
  • Safely handle and move heavy materials, maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Apply finishes such as paint or sealants to complete the build.
  • Interact professionally with customers, representing the company positively.
  • Complete an Enhanced DBS check once fully working on sites (not required initially).

  • Confident using both hand and power tools.
  • Able to work outdoors and lift heavy items regularly.
