We are working with a dynamic international business to find a proactive and commercially minded Compliance Officer to take ownership of UK compliance activities in a stand-alone role. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and strengthen compliance frameworks while working closely with senior leadership and international teams.
The Role
- Youll lead UK compliance, ensuring policies and procedures are effectively implemented and aligned with both local regulations and group standards.
- With a strong focus on evolving legislation (including post-Brexit impacts), youll play a key role in identifying risks, improving controls and driving best practice across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance UK compliance frameworks and reporting.
- Interpret group requirements and translate into UK legal context.
- Conduct internal audits across areas such as data protection, anti-corruption, and governance.
- Support compliance initiatives including UK Bribery Act, Modern Slavery, Gender Pay Gap, and more.
- Deliver training and promote compliance awareness across the business.
- Partner with international colleagues (including Italy) on compliance matters.
About You
- Background in compliance, legal, or corporate governance.
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate and commercial law.
- Confident communicator with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- Able to work independently and manage a varied workload.
