Our remarkable range includes the largest collection of British farmhouse cheeses, Mediterranean deli products from Dell\’ami, a huge range of British cured meats, as well as our own bespoke sauces and dips. About the Role: The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of customer orders, ensuring excellent service and compliance with company standards. This role involves adhering to dispatch schedules, maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness, and maximising delivery efficiency while upholding a professional image. The Driver will also build positive customer relationships, respond to feedback, and support the company\’s commitment to quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. Flexibility to undertake additional tasks as directed by management is required. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure key dispatch times are adhered to as directed by the Dispatch Supervisor/Manager Delivery of orders to customers when and where they want them and react to customer feedback and customer retention. Efficient use of time: delivering products on time throughout the working day; Ensure the safety of the load. Undertake other activities as directed by management while maintaining a flexible outlook; Carry out daily checks of the vehicle making sure that the vehicle is clean and road worthy to help minimise the running costs; Report any issues of defects to the Transport Manager Maximise the numbers of deliveries within the time constraints; Present a professional and smart image at all times; Establish and strengthen relationships with customers; Maintain a polite and positive demeanour to customers; Ensuring Company\’s compliance to regulatory requirements and guidelines for food safety, food hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practice and quality; Any other reasonable requests. About you: Essential Requirements: Minimum age 25 years old (Due to insurance purposes) Minimum of 1 year driving experience Clean driving licence Good communication skills Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas. Hold a current CPC and Driver Card Training and Development: You will be required to undertake a yearly driving assessment (internally or externally); You will be required to undertake internal training CPC Training (5 Yearly). – HGV only Health and Safety: To work in accordance with the company Health & Safety policy; To ensure the staff understand, and comply with, their responsibilities under the company Health & Safety at Work policy. Security To take reasonable precautions to protect the Company\’s property; To challenge any unauthorised personnel on the premises; To report and investigate any incident of theft.
