Anesthesia OR & Critical Care Medicine MD Position

Full-time staff Anesthesia OR / Critical Care positions available in our community site at Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth Hospital within the Beth Israel Lahey Health system. Physician providers have the unique opportunity of working at a community hospital in Southeastern Massachusetts as part of Longwood Specialty Physicians (LSP) affiliated with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc.

BID Plymouth Hospital is a 164 bed unit community hospital and physicians are assigned a mix of inpatient and ambulatory cases. The case mix includes a large volume of orthopedic cases with ultrasound guided regional blocks, OB (currently 1000 deliveries per year), and ENT pediatric patients. The hospital boasts a modern 14 bed Intensive Care Unit with a broad array of medical and surgical critical care patients. This highly functioning ICU is well staffed with Advanced Practice Providers 24/7.

This position provides flexibility for physicians at various phases of their careers and accommodates changing interests and allows the ability to work both in the OR and the ICU at one clinical site.

Skills & Requirements
• Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in critical care. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Works collaboratively with all HMFP/LSP Staff
• Adherence to established practice guidelines as set by governing boards
• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology and Critical Care

Pay Range:

$420,000 – $462,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
