2023 -2024 Anesthesia MD at BIDMC (Full-Time)

Job Description:

Full-time Staff Anesthesiologist positions are available in our growing academic department. We attend to more than 40,000 cases per year, including neurosurgery, major vascular, thoracic, cardiac, solid organ transplant, ambulatory, and obstetric anesthesia. The department also plays a significant role in critical care and pain medicine. Clinical duties may be divided between the main operating rooms, other anesthetizing locations within the medical center, our affiliated community hospitals, and office-based practices.

We have a top-ranked resident training program with opportunities for participation in various education programs and initiatives. There are also opportunities to collaborate on ongoing basic, translational, and clinical research programs, with potential start-up funds available.

This position offers an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School, commensurate with credentials and experience. An exceptional compensation and benefits package is provided.

Skills & Requirements:

• Degree in medicine from an accredited institution and valid medical license.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Ability to use experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all HMFP staff.
• Creativity and ingenuity are valued, but adherence to established practice guidelines set by governing boards is mandatory.
