Key Responsibilities
- Work in our Mainstream SEND Hubs.
- Develop students’ independence, emotional resilience, and social skills, while supporting them in achieving their individual targets.
- Deliver interventions and planned learning activities, observe achievements, and maintain records to monitor progress and inform assessment.
- Lead small-group or whole-class sessions, mentor or support colleagues, and work within an educational environment.
- Assist with personal care programmes—including hygiene, toileting, eating, and drinking—to encourage independence and dignity.
- Adhere to all school Safeguarding Policies and report concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications and Experience
- GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) with experience supporting students with SEND.
- Experience working with SEND pupils in an educational setting.
- Understanding of EHCPs and experience supporting students to achieve their individual goals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Caring, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to inclusion and supporting personal growth.
