Enhanced Inclusion & Learning Practitioner Contract: 32.5 hrs per week, Term Time plus 5 days Salary: Scale 2, Pts 3-4 (£24,796 - £25,185) FTE, £18,546 - £18,837 Actual Salary Start date: September 2026 What does an Enhanced Inclusion & Learning Practitioner do? Your role is about much more than academic support; it involves building a secure, trusting relationship that empowers children. Key Responsibilities * Work in Mainstream SEND Hubs. * Develop students’ independence, emotional resilience, and social skills, while supporting them in achieving individual targets. * Implement planned learning activities, observe achievements, and maintain records to monitor progress and inform assessment. * Assist with personal care programmes—including hygiene, toileting, eating and drinking—to encourage independence and dignity. * Adhere to all school safeguarding policies and report concerns through appropriate channels. Qualifications * Qualifications: GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths; Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) with experience supporting students with SEND. * Experience: Working with SEND pupils in an educational setting is essential. * Professional knowledge & understanding: Understanding of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and experience supporting students to achieve their individual goals. * Skills: Excellent communication and the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents. * Attributes: Caring, patient and empathetic with a strong commitment to inclusion and supporting personal growth.
