About the Role
- A key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well‑presented campus environment.
- Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, small works and minor redecoration.
- Support statutory compliance checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temperatures and lifts.
- Complete meter readings (water, gas, electric, oil, biomass and PV) and report findings as required.
- Respond to service requests via the Estates Service Desk and Residential Support team.
- Assist with sustainability data requests and act as a first responder to consumption queries.
- Identify, report and where appropriate resolve issues impacting campus operation, safety or appearance.
About You
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have experience using hand‑held tools and carrying out general maintenance and repairs.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of plumbing and electrics.
- Safely use machinery and equipment and follow health and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and stakeholders.
- Take a flexible and proactive approach to work across a busy campus environment.
- Are able to work under pressure and respond effectively to reactive tasks.
