Lecturer in FE Equine (Further Education)
£24,332 – £27,111 per annum (No teaching qualification held)
£27,907 – £42,526 per annum (Teaching qualification held – level 5 or equivalent)
37 hours per week, Fixed Term to cover Maternity Leave
About the Role
- You will be expected to plan and deliver exceptional teaching to help students achieve excellent results on Level 3 Equine courses.
- You will inspire students to appreciate and enjoy Equine Management, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.
- You will be required to have experience in delivering practical Equine Husbandry skills and specialisms in Equine Science related topics.
- You will be a personal tutor, advising and guiding individuals in their progress, success and career aspirations during group and 1:1 tutorials.
- You will be responsible for the undertaking of assessments, marking and monitoring learner progress.
About You
- You will be willing to complete a teaching qualification, if not already qualified.
- You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
- Ideally you will hold a minimum qualification of BHS Stage 2 Teach, or later Stage 3 Coach / BHSAI.
- You will demonstrate a high level of motivation as a lecturer, with experience of providing tutorial support to students being advantageous.
- Desirably you will hold the A1 Assessors Award (or equivalent) and V1 Internal Verifiers Award (or equivalent).
