About the Role:

  • Lead and develop Hartpury’s IT services, providing strategic direction and operational leadership across the organisation.
  • Play a key role in enabling Hartpury’s 2030 strategic ambitions through the effective use of technology and digital innovation.
  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), providing strategic direction for IT strategy, digital transformation, and technology investment.
  • Ensure IT services effectively support teaching, learning, research, and professional services enhancing the experience of both students and staff.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of IT infrastructure, systems, cyber security, service delivery, and data management.
  • Provide support to Hartpury’s transformation programme, driving efficient processes and continuous improvement activities.

About You:

  • Strong understanding of IT governance, cyber security, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience of leading digital transformation, technology-enabled change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic yet pragmatic, with the ability to balance long-term vision with hands-on operational delivery.
  • Collaborative and customer-focused, with a strong commitment to supporting students, staff and academic services.
  • Commercially and risk aware, demonstrating proportionate decision-making in a regulated setting.
