About the Role
- Design and deliver inclusive theoretical and practical teaching, meeting module learning outcomes as either module leader or member of the module team.
- Provide student‑focused academic personal tutoring, supported by on‑campus specialist centres.
- Plan, design and deliver student assessments, and mark and moderate student work.
- Engage with scholarly activity and apply knowledge to teaching and other opportunities for knowledge generation, exchange and transfer.
- Supervise student research projects.
- Actively contribute to committees and project management as required.
The successful candidate will work with the programme team to recruit, teach, tutor and assess students enrolled on the recently validated MSci Veterinary Physiotherapy programme. Candidates should demonstrate professional practice experience in both companion animal and equine physiotherapy and be RAMP registered. Academic experience is advantageous but full training will be given to the right candidate.
About You
- Dynamic, professional and experienced Veterinary Physiotherapist.
- Holder of a teaching qualification or willing to complete a teaching development programme.
- Highly motivated, self‑reliant and enthusiastic about delivering the highest quality teaching, learning and student experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills, with the ability to manage your own time.
- Teaching and assessing/coaching experience desirable but not essential.
- Post‑qualification/industry experience within the subject field; research practice advantageous.
- Evidence of engagement with research and scholarly activity and a willingness to further develop this area as a university academic.
