Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Provide daily care and exercise for horses under the Equine Therapy Centre Manager's direction.
- Assist in all learning, research, and commercial activities within the Centre.
- Support veterinary surgeons and physiotherapists in delivering and monitoring rehabilitation programmes.
- Manage case admissions and discharges.
- Support the Equine Therapy Centre Assistant Manager in the organisation and delivery of out-patient appointments for water treadmill exercise.
- Train and exercise horses on both high-speed and water treadmills for the purpose of teaching, tours and research.
- Experience with competition horses and high standards of care.
- Competency in ground schooling and handling fresh/fit horses.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and observational skills.
- Interest in equine veterinary medicine/physiotherapy.
