Overview
We\’re looking for a QC Technician to join an experienced Quality team and support inspection and testing activities as the company scales up for clinical readiness. The role will focus on hands-on quality checks of components and assemblies, with emphasis on plastics (thermoforming, injection moulding), PCBs, adhesives, labels, and manufacturing processes such as laser welding, cutting, and printing.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished products;
- Carry out visual, dimensional, and functional checks on plastics, PCB assemblies, adhesives, and labels against drawings and specifications;
- Support QC testing of parts produced using EVM, LVDO, laser welding, cutting, and printing techniques;
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain documentation in line with quality system requirements (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820);
- Identify and report nonconformance, escalating issues to engineers or senior Quality staff;
- Assist with preparation of documentation for audits and regulatory requirements;
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant lab/production environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in QC, inspection, or a related technical role within medical devices, electronics, plastics, or other regulated manufacturing environments;
- Working knowledge of plastics manufacturing methods (thermoforming, injection moulding) and associated inspection techniques;
- Familiarity with PCB assemblies, adhesives, and labelling processes;
- Exposure to manufacturing processes such as laser welding, cutting, and printing;
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications;
- Competent in the use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.);
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills;
- Awareness of ISO 13485 is an advantage but not essential.
