A global diagnostics organisation with a strong heritage in in-vitro diagnostics is seeking a Strategic Tender Specialist to support its transition from product development to commercial scale-up. The company has an established portfolio of laboratory solutions designed to improve workflow efficiency and enable faster, more accurate clinical decision-making. With growing commercial momentum including recent long-term contract wins, multiple international evaluations, and expansion into new markets - this is a key hire to support continued growth.
This role will take ownership of the end-to-end tendering strategy across priority markets including the UK, Europe, and selected international regions. Working closely with Commercial Leadership and regional sales teams, you will play a critical role in improving tender success rates and securing high-value contracts across hospital networks and laboratories. Reporting into senior commercial leadership, you will also lead and develop tender operations, driving best practice across the full bid lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively track and monitor tender opportunities across relevant procurement platforms to ensure full pipeline visibility
- Partner with sales teams to drive structured qualification processes and support timely Go/No-Go decisions
- Lead the development of bid strategies and value propositions, coordinating cross-functional input (commercial, marketing, technical experts)
- Translate clinical and economic value into compelling, competitive tender submissions
- Conduct win/loss analysis to generate insights and continuously improve tender performance
- Ensure compliance with local procurement regulations and relevant industry standards
- Drive process improvement and risk management across the tender lifecycle
- 5+ years’ experience in strategic tender or bid management within laboratory diagnostics or medical devices
- Strong understanding of public and private healthcare procurement frameworks across multiple international markets
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex bid processes
- Experience reviewing and managing contractual terms and associated risks
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and e-tender platforms
- Structured, process-driven approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced commercial environment
