Overview
The Product Manager will lead upstream marketing initiatives and manage the lifecycle strategy for a diagnostics portfolio focused on transfusion medicine. Acting as the strategic bridge between market needs, customer insights, and product development, this role ensures that product strategies are aligned with commercial opportunities, regulatory requirements, and long-term business goals. This position is accountable for the entire product lifecycle—from concept through retirement—by defining market requirements, developing business cases, collaborating across functions, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement product strategies that support company objectives and market needs.
- Translate customer and clinical insights into product requirements, value propositions, and business cases.
- Partner with R&D, regulatory, and clinical teams to guide product development in line with market demand.
- Act as the internal voice of the customer, anticipating future trends and unmet needs.
Lifecycle Management
- Oversee products from launch through phase-out, ensuring relevance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain and update product roadmaps.
- Conduct lifecycle reviews using customer feedback, performance data, and commercial insights to inform enhancements or rationalization decisions.
Market Insights
- Lead upstream marketing activities including customer feedback programs, competitive analysis, and segmentation.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities.
- Provide data-driven insights to guide development and marketing strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across R&D, sales, regulatory, and marketing to ensure effective product launches and updates.
- Communicate product strategy and status to stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Represent the product portfolio at external events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Commercial Support
- Develop positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies with the marketing team.
- Provide product training and technical support to the commercial team.
- Create sales tools, educational resources, and customer training programs.
- Support demonstrations, customer evaluations, and external presentations.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure products meet applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Support preparation of regulatory submissions and associated documentation.
Other Duties
- Carry out additional responsibilities as reasonably required.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, medical technology, business, or related field.
Experience
- Background in in vitro diagnostics or related life sciences sector.
- Experience within transfusion diagnostics preferred.
- Proven record of leading and delivering projects independently.
- Experience supporting customers in transfusion or related diagnostics.
- Strong commercial and marketing capabilities, including business case development and financial acumen.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and ability to work with data and analytics.
- Familiarity with project management or process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) advantageous.
Soft Skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in both strategic and operational contexts.

Languages
- Fluent in English; other languages beneficial.
