Hartmann Young has been exclusively retained by a rapidly growing consumer wellness company with a growing portfolio of branded functional foods, gummies, and powdered supplements. Known for quality, transparency, and innovation, they are expanding commercial operations across the UK. Due to this growth, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic partnerships and drive revenue across both B2B and B2C channels in the UK and beyond. This is a key commercial hire, ideal for a self-motivated, strategic business developer with a passion for wellness and functional nutrition. You will play a central role in shaping the company's next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
You will lead commercial efforts across the UK, building relationships with retailers, distributors, and wellness partners. You will be responsible for identifying new revenue opportunities, launching into new markets, and driving category growth across functional gummies, beverages, and supplements. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will be central to building a strong commercial foundation in this high-growth category.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business and customer acquisition across retail, pharmacy, and wellness sectors
- Identify and close partnerships with distributors, health retailers, and e-commerce platforms
- Build and manage long-term relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and regulatory teams to align commercial strategy
- Represent the company at trade shows and wellness industry events
- Monitor market trends in functional nutrition (e.g., adaptogens, sleep, immunity, focus)
Required Experience
- Proven B2B commercial experience in functional food, beverage, or wellness supplements
- Background in gummies, powdered drinks, or health-focused FMCG is highly desirable
- Strong track record of building retail or distribution partnerships in the UK
