I\’m working with a fast-growing European fintech that\’s now operating in the UK and scaling rapidly. They\’re VC-backed, operating across multiple European markets, and serving 175M+ people with their consumer finance products.

Role

You\’ll be working on a number of thier core banking products, developing new features and maintaining scalable platforms built with automation in mind. This is a genuine full-stack position where you\’ll be expected to contribute across both backend and frontend systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building backend and frontend systems from scratch
• Solving complex technical challenges in a high-volume transactional environment
• Writing clean, maintainable code following best practices
• Building automated tests and conducting functionality testing
• Defining technical solutions and documenting best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer
• Strong PHP experience (ideally Yii2, Laravel, or Symfony)
• PostgreSQL or MySQL experience
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
• Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership

Nice-to-haves

• Fintech or financial services background
• NodeJS experience
• Distributed systems or high-volume transactional applications
• AWS cloud services or DevOps exposure (Docker, Terraform, Ansible)
