This Technical Architect is a new role created due to ongoing company growth within a high tech manufacturing business. You will be playing an important role as the conduit between the customer and developers/other internal teams. The job will suit someone with technical capability and a passion for technology but who also loves engaging with people. Perhaps this has been professionally through Engineer/Networking type work exposure and you are someone comfortable with system integration and not intimidated by basic coding concepts. If you have enjoyed using Arduino and Raspberry Pi, you've clearly got a personal passion for technology so this might be the job for you! It's a cross between a Technical Architect and a Technical Pre-Sales type role.

The Role
This is a crucial role within the business, sitting between the Marketing/Sales team, the Developers in house, and the customer and their requirements. The company develop off the shelf but also bespoke hardware and software communications solutions and this role will be responsible for triaging for the sales team, deciding if an opportunity should be progressed and then working with the customer to extract key pieces of information to establish a potential solution, finally briefing Developers being the communication contact for all teams, helping to keep new projects on track.
The Ideal Candidate
You need to be passionate about exploring ideas and problems and finding solutions. Communication is key, it is such an important part of the job you will be the point of contact between customer and the business and will need the communication skills to talk around the customer requirement with a level of technical understanding, be able to communicate with non-technical people as well as the Developers. Project management type skills are also useful because you will be juggling multiple customers at any one time. It goes without saying you have a technology passion.
Finally, you need to be down to earth, and easy to get along with. This team really is brilliant, they are nice people, easy going but professional and work to a high standard.
