We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established business based near Hedge End for an experienced Stores Operations Manager. This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of two busy stores sites with a high turnover of stock. This position would suit a confident people manager with strong stores, warehouse, import/export and logistics experience, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Role
- Overall responsibility for two stores operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily running
- Management of goods in, goods out, stock control, and inventory accuracy
- Oversight of import and export activities, including documentation and compliance
- Managing and liaising with couriers, freight forwarders, and transport providers
- Reviewing current processes and implementing improvements and new systems where required
- Leading, motivating, and developing established teams across both sites
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and company procedures
- Driving continuous improvement in a high-volume, time-sensitive operation
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a senior Stores, Warehouse, Logistics or Operations Management role
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Demonstrable experience with Import / Export processes
- Experience working with and managing couriers and logistics partners
- A strong focus on Health & Safety and operational excellence
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience working within a volume-driven and deadline-critical environment
- Experience with ISO systems would be highly advantageous
