This is an IT Project Management role for a £20m turnover professional consultancy firm. You will be the conduit between the Ops board, Users and Internal/External Developers, with the objective of conducting a full review of the current bespoke built IT systems and shape their development. It will suit someone with excellent project management skills and who is comfortable owning a complex IT project. The team and company are brilliant and this is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to commit to a long term permanent role but one that will evolve lots over time.

The in house systems have been developed over the last 20 years and are built on a .NET platform. They integrate all workflows, accounts and reporting, HMRC integration and some customer APIs. The system has become increasingly complex as the company has developed and is now a patchwork quilt of developments as is common. This role will aim to achieve the following:

  • Get under the skin of what the long term system should look like and ask the right questions of the business to then own the long term systems transformation
  • Work to understand the current data architecture. This work will unearth opportunities to transform elements of the current system to create efficiencies
  • Own a number of projects, from incremental system changes to development of new modules. This will involve modules for new legal/HMRC reporting requirements, improved customer dashboards and user workflows
  • Take the Board’s strategic direction, and work with IT Developers to deliver the systems required to achieve the strategy

This is an IT Project Management role so will require a progressive track record in similar roles. The following will be useful:

  • Program/Project Management experience
  • ITIL v3 Foundation, or equivalent
  • Practical knowledge of methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Six-Sigma
  • Fantastic people skills, an ability to deal with non technical Users, technical people, and senior level Directors
  • A proactive self starter.

The advertised package includes a bonus, car allowance and salary. The role will be Hybrid, office based 2 days a week.
