This Head of Manufacturing Operations role will be the engine room of the business, responsible for Production and Supply Chain, Customer Support, IT and Compliance. The company is a world class technology business, they have an excellent reputation and it is a fantastic place to work.

The Role

Reporting directly to the COO and based in the office, a summary of the four pillars of the role is as follows:

  • Supply chain & Production – Oversee the end to end lifecycles, from procurement and manufacturing to the global shipping of thousands of devices annually.
  • Customer Support – Lead the small technical support team to deliver customer excellence, ensuring seamless onboarding and proactive in-life support.
  • IT – Empower the team with the tools they need to stay productive. You’ll own the ISO27001 certification and responsibility for digital security.
  • Facilities & Compliance – Act as guardian of quality and safety standards, maintaining ISO9001 and ISO45001.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a builder who thrives when turning ambiguity into order. You’ll likely have a background in hardware, telecommunications, or a high growth engineering environment. A summary of the key requirements are as follows:

  • Proven Leadership – A track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams in a fast paced SME or scale up environment.
  • Operational Rigour – Attention to detail, building strong rigorous processes and with experience of ISO standards and compliance.
  • Problem Solver – You don’t just fix the problem, you build the system that prevents it from happening again.
  • Resilience & Adaptability – Comfortable navigating the complexities of global supply chains and shifting business priorities.
  • Communication – Ability to translate complex operational data into clear insights for the executive team.
