Our client, a well-established and people-focused business based in Romsey, is looking to recruit a Purchasing Analyst to take ownership of day-to-day stock ordering and inventory management. You will play a key role in ensuring products are purchased at the right volume, at the right time, to support customer demand and maximise operational efficiency. Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics BC ERP system would be a distinct advantage.

The Role

This is a busy and varied position, working closely with the Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and stock availability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Placing, progressing, and chasing purchase orders
  • Demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management
  • Analysing stock data to optimise inventory levels and reduce inefficiencies
  • Monitoring and maintaining correct stock levels to meet business requirements
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers
  • Supporting cross-functional teams with accurate purchasing and stock data

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have previous experience in a Purchasing, Buying, Supply Chain, or Analytical role. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to tight deadlines. Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics BC ERP system would be a distinct advantage. Key skills and attributes include:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
