This role will include occasional nights out, so flexibility is required. Ability to load and unload flat rigid vehicles is essential. Ability to secure your own load therefore roping, strapping and sheeting may be required.
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience essential - 3 Years
- Ability to operate a flatbed truck is a must
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
