The Role
We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. This important role helps ensure that lunchtime is a safe, positive and enjoyable experience for all pupils. You will supervise children during lunch periods, promote positive behaviour and support their wellbeing both in the dining hall and on the playground.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce the school's expectations.
- Support children in the dining hall and promote good manners.
- Monitor playground activities and help create an inclusive environment.
- Assist with the organisation of playground games and activities.
- Respond appropriately to minor incidents and report concerns when necessary.
- Support pupils in developing positive relationships with their peers.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Confidence in supervising groups of children in a busy environment.
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
- The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with incidents.
- Previous experience working with children would be beneficial but is not essential.
