Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority, we want to make Hartlepool the best it can possibly be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Assistant in the Community Safety Team. Based in Hartlepool Police Station and the Civic Centre, you will be part of the Council’s Community Safety service supporting the Team to improve Community Safety accross Hartlepool.
You will act as a first point of contact, taking service requests from partners, elected members, and residents, and initiating appropriate responses. Contact can be via Telephone calls, Email and occasionally face to face.
This is a busy team and you should have the ability to work effectively under pressure whilst ensuring a high degree of accuracy and maintaning an excellent standard of customer service. With an NVQ3 in Business Admin or equivalent qualification, you should have recent experience of providing admin support within a similar office based or customer services role.
You will be expected to promote team working within the service area, across council departments, with colleagues from external agencies including the statutory, community and voluntary, and business sectors and with elected members.
Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the work, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring check and a Police Check.
