Childrens social care are recruiting to the role of a casual cook at Exmoor Grove children’s home within Hartlepool. Exmoor Grove is a residential children’s home and also provides short breaks. Children who come to Exmoor Grove have various disabilities including learning disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism, ADHD and behaviours that can be challenging.
We are aiming to employ a cook on a casual basis to provide freshly cooked and nutritious meals, the post is to cover annual leave and sickness. The postholder will be responsible for the daily organisation of the kitchen to cater to the highest possible standard in line with the agreed service levels and to maintain the quality standards within the catering division and seek continuous improvement in service delivery.
The postholder will be expected to manage a medium size kitchen and liaise closely with Manager and staff team, there will be the need for a substantial awareness of hygiene, health and safety issues. You will need to have appropriate experience and a professional approach.
Hartlepool Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring check.
