Hartlepool Borough Council has been appointed as the Lead Body by Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) for the Connect to Work Supported Employment Programme. As such, the Council is responsible for ensuring successful management and delivery of the programme across Tees Valley. Connect to Work will support disabled people, people with health conditions and those with complex barriers to get into or remain in work. The programme will support more than 5,000 people over the period to 2030 and is being delivered by a range of providers across Tees Valley.

As a Contract Officer working as part of the Programme Management Team, the post holder will manage a caseload of sub-contracted providers across Tees Valley ensuring they are accountable for all performance, quality, compliance, financial management and contractual obligations associated with delivery of their contract with the Council.

The post holder will establish collaborative and transparent relationships with sub-contracted providers to ensure the successful delivery of Connect to Work, and other programmes as required. This will include supportive and structured approaches to manage any underperformance.
