We have been delivering highly successful courses for more than 50 years as the only dedicated sixth form college in the area. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious candidate to join our team at Hartlepool Sixth Form as a teacher and programme lead in Business, for a maternity cover post. The successful candidate will work in a thriving department, which currently delivers a wide curriculum across a range of Social Science subjects at level 3, with a vision to expand to HE in the near future. We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic specialists with excellent pedagogical skills and industry knowledge or experience.
Essential Skills- Candidates will need an appropriate degree and a teaching qualification is desirable; however, we will consider candidates without teaching qualifications who are willing to work toward obtaining one.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive and have a continuous improvement mindset to ensure all students receive the best possible support and guidance throughout their learning journey.
- Comprehensive knowledge of BTEC specifications is a requirement.
- A knowledge of employer contracts for industry placement opportunities would be advantageous.
