Hartlepool is a vibrant energy town that we aim to develop further with dedicated and committed staff. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Construction Team. The candidate is expected to hold a City and Guilds Carpentry and Site Joinery NVQ Level 3 qualification obtained through an industry recognised route and must be willing to train further.

City and Guilds Carpentry and Site Joinery NVQ Level 3, with willingness to undertake further training.
Responsibilities
- General construction, maintenance and repairs in domestic and commercial properties – joinery, bricklaying, tiling, basic plastering, basic plumbing and basic decorating.
- Responsive repairs service.
- Planned, programmed repairs and maintenance.
- Repairs to vacant properties.
- Installation of disabled person adaptations equipment (e.g. internal/external handrails and ETAC toilet seats).
- Works to capital‑funded schemes.
- Emergency works.
- Planning work in advance when required.
- Other associated work that may arise in the provision of our service.
- Other associated work across disciplines and departments within Procurement and Property Services.
- Participation in the 24‑hour emergency call‑out rota.
- Organisation and installation of low‑level access showers and related works.
The post is a Safer Recruitment post and will be subject to DBS clearance at the appropriate level.
