We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Family Support Worker to undertake a diverse range of responsibilities in supporting young people and adults.
The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong observation, assessment, and organisational abilities. You will be resilient, flexible, and able to work effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities. Experience of direct work with young people and adults is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining positive relationships with service users, partner agencies, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective support. You will be required to meet objectives and achieve specific targets throughout the year, ensuring that your work contributes to wider strategic priorities and outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be creative, proactive, and passionate about supporting young people and adults, particularly those who are not participating in education, employment, or training (NEET). Working closely with Youth Guarantee Trailblazer partners, you will provide information, advice, and guidance, helping individuals identify suitable pathways and opportunities. Through collaborative working, you will support young people and adults to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes and progress towards their goals.

The Youth Trailblazer programme is government funded and has been implemented to ensure that all 18 to 21-year-olds are provided with targeted support to explore education, employment, and training opportunities, enabling them to progress towards successful and sustainable futures.
