As our Engagement Officer, you will be the face of recycling in Hartlepool, inspiring residents to recycle more and waste less. No two days are the same. You will be out and about across the borough.
Responsibilities
- Hosting community events and pop-up recycling roadshows that help residents to learn more about recycling and reducing waste.
- Visiting schools to inspire the next generation of recycling superstars.
- Knocking on doors to share tips and advice with residents.
- Distributing information materials and working with marketing colleagues to plan a range of exciting marketing campaigns.
- Supporting exciting new projects like garden waste subscriptions and future food waste collections.
Qualifications
- We are looking for someone who is a confident communicator and genuinely enjoys meeting new people.
- You will need to be organised and proactive, with experience in planning and delivering events or campaigns that make a real impact.
- A passion for recycling and sustainability is essential, as is the flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to reach as many residents as possible.
- Importantly, this role involves travelling across Hartlepool, so a full UK driving licence and daily access to your own car is a must.
