Alongside their PLC HMI SCADA and Electrical Control Systems Design, my clients have a thriving division that offers PLC and Control Systems Support to maintenance teams in factories, helping them to fault find using PLCs and PLC software, plugging the gap in site automation, and doing small projects to improve those PLC and Electrical Control systems on site. They have gained more customers who need support, so they need an extra experienced PLC HMI Controls Support Engineer.
You will be:
- Going to customer sites to assist maintenance engineers to fault find on PLC Automated and Electrical Systems.
- Fault finding using PLC software to solve problems with machines.
- Troubleshooting electrical control panel issues (e.g., loose wires, faulty sensors).
- Occasionally doing a small PLC project to improve a system for the customer, such as merging 2 conveyors.
Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, with some PLC Controls work.
- Ability in PLC systems - good at fault finding and modifying software on one of these: Siemens TIA Portal, S7, WinCC, Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and hands-on skills.
- A desire for a job with variety, seeing how different companies use PLC/factory automation/machinery and deepening control systems knowledge.
- A position in a growing company, being recognised as someone with expert skills in a growing automated world.
