We are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking and highly regarded automation solutions provider. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of innovative automation projects, supporting customers across multiple industries with cutting-edge engineering solutions.

The Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for bespoke automation machinery and control systems. You will work closely with project teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective designs from concept through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical schematics using industry-standard CAD software (e.g. EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)
  • Specify electrical components, control panels, and systems
  • Support project delivery from initial concept through to installation and commissioning
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

About You

  • Proven experience in electrical design, preferably within automation or machinery environments
  • Able to work alongside PLC Control Systems Engineers, industrial electrical design
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into effective designs
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Salary & Benefits

  • £50,000 - £55,000 salary
  • Overtime available
  • 37.5-hour basic working week
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • 31 days holiday (including bank holidays)
