We are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking and highly regarded automation solutions provider. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of innovative automation projects, supporting customers across multiple industries with cutting-edge engineering solutions.
The Role
- As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for bespoke automation machinery and control systems.
- You will work closely with project teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective designs from concept through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical schematics using industry-standard CAD software (e.g. EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)
- Specify electrical components, control panels, and systems
- Support project delivery from initial concept through to installation and commissioning
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
About You
- Proven experience in electrical design, preferably within automation or machinery environments
- Able to work alongside PLC Control Systems Engineers, industrial electrical design
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into effective designs
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits
- £50,000 - £55,000 salary
- Overtime available
- 37.5-hour basic working week
- Early finish on Fridays
- 31 days holiday (including bank holidays)
